# Update to the latest Browser Extension version

To update to the latest version you have two options:

# Option 1: Automatic update
* Close your Chrome browser window (on MacOS you need to quit the app)
* Open Chrome again
* Wait a few seconds before opening the PipeLaunch Chrome Extension. Chrome updates the extensions automatically in background
* Check if the version was updated

# Option 2: Manual update
Go to [chrome://extensions](chrome://extensions) or click on the **Extensions** button ( 🧩puzzle piece icon) and select the option **Manage extensions**.
* Enable the option **Developer mode**. Toggle on the top right corner
* You should now see more buttons. Click on the **Update** button
* Check if the version was updated

## Microsoft Edge Manual update

||| Please note that PipeLaunch officially supports Google Chrome. While you may choose to use Microsoft Edge (or other Chromium based browsers), it **${color}[#39317d](is not officially supported)**, and we recommend doing so with caution as certain features may not function as intended.

Go to [edge://extensions](edge://extensions) or click on the **Extensions** button ( 🧩puzzle piece icon) and select the option **Manage extensions**.
* Enable the option **Developer mode**. Toggle on the left panel
* You should now see more buttons. Click on the **🔄️ Update** button
* Check if the version was updated
