Troubleshooting Frequent PipeLaunch Extension Logouts
If you and your team are being frequently logged out of the PipeLaunch Browser Extension, it's often due to a session setting in your Salesforce "Connected App." This policy may be set to expire the authentication token after a short period of inactivity.
This change must be made by a Salesforce Administrator.
How to Fix Frequent Logouts
As a Salesforce Admin, you can update the refresh token policy to prevent these frequent logouts. This change will make the authentication token valid until it is manually revoked, keeping your users logged in.
Here are the step-by-step instructions:
- Log in to your Salesforce account with an Administrator profile.
- Navigate to Setup (the gear icon ⚙️ in the top right).
- In the "Quick Find" box on the left, type "Manage Connected Apps" and select it.
- Find the "PipeLaunch Chrome Extension" in the list of applications.
- Click the dropdown arrow on the far right of that row and select Edit.
- Scroll down to the OAuth Policies section.
- Find the Refresh Token Policy setting.
- As shown in the image, your policy might be set to "Expire refresh token if not used for" or "Expire refresh token after."
- To fix the issue, change this setting to: Refresh token is valid until revoked.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page.

What This Change Does
This setting ensures that the authentication "key" the extension uses to communicate with Salesforce doesn't automatically expire. Users will remain logged in unless they intentionally log out, revoke access, or an admin manually revokes their session.
For End-Users: What to Do Next
After your Salesforce Admin has made this change, please log out of the PipeLaunch Chrome Extension and log back in one more time. This will ensure your extension gets a new, non-expiring token. You should not be frequently logged out after this.
